Maya makes her own shows, she has no director. Each show seems to follow a different process of making. She often invites other artists - sound, film, space designers - to improvise with her. For comedy, she may put together a far-out costume, wear it and begin an improvisation, or else pick up a statement from anywhere - usually the morning newspapers - and create a situation around it.
